Acciona - Sydney Light Rail

Project Description: The CBD and South East Light Rail is a new light rail network for Sydney, currently under construction. The 12km route, featuring 19 stops, will extend from Circular Quay along George Street to Central Station, through Surry Hills to Moore Park, then to Randwick and Kingsford via Alison Road and Anzac Parade.

SDC Civil Scope of Works:

SDC Civil were contracted by ACCIONA to complete the following works:

• Zone 7 (Park Street to Bathurst Street) installation of CSR route, CSR pits, low voltage, non-potable pipe, hydrants install, stop valves, CSR drainage and earthing and bonding for the entire zone.
• Demolition and reconstruction of Market Street Intersection and Park Street Intersection. This was completed over a number of staged weekends to enable the intersection to be fully operation by Monday morning. 
• Installation of Heritage Pavement works at Randwick Race Course
• Construction of Full depth pavement on Wansey Road and Randwick Race Course
• Placement of correctional course of Asphalt at Wansey Road
• Construction of MSB footings
• Demolition and reconstruction of kerb, gutter and footpaths to new levels at numerous locations
• Installation of Stormwater pits, pipes and link ups within the CBD and Randwick suburbs
• Construction of a new road entry at University of New South Wales Gate 9. This included relocation of services, earthworks, placement of base course, kerb and gutter works, footpath construction and full depth pavement.
• Installation of Non-potable water – Includes excavation, installation of pipe, welding PE pipe, installation of hydrants and stop valves and backfill works
• Installation of Low Voltage Works – Includes excavation, installation conduits, installation of pre-cast pits and backfill.

Seymour Whyte - Narellan Road Stage 2B

Project Description : Western Sydney's Narellan Road between Camden Valley Way at Narellan and Blaxland Road at Campbelltown was upgraded to a six-lane divided road to improve traffic flow and road safety in the corridor. Approximately 7 kilometres of Narellan Road was upgraded and widened.
